Is that Greek?

Our beautiful Baby Girl...

Isn't he an angel?

Have I mentioned that I think The Boy speaks Hebrew? I'm tellin' ya, some of the sounds that he makes are very similar to words in Hebrew or Yiddish. This differs from when London was a baby - I used to think she could speak Chinese.

Anyway - The Boy has shown his very Continental side with regard to his (non-stop) eating habits. Today, Amanda and I went to a Greek restaurant and Kirby fit right in. He immediately signed for food and we obliged him with lemon rice, fallafel, hummus and pita bread. When this kid gets going not even light can escape his furious jaws. We're so glad we had that Fokker interrupter gear installed so he doesn't chew his own fingers off.

The other day London had her friend Elle over to the house. The girls are a hoot to watch playing together. Problem is, they kinda act as catalysts to each other's "less behaved" side. At one point in the evening, they were playing nicely with some little dolls in the downstairs bathroom sink (London is very into mermaids right now). Well, let's just say that Amanda and I arrived late to the scene. Yep. Water everywhere. I'd guess about a quarter inch worth on the floor, a soaked rug, and dolls gasping for air were strewn about in what could only be described as a scene of plastic carnage that would have the top executives at Mattel wearing black armbands. London lost her doll and sink privileges for a week.

Please enjoy these new photos of our precious children.

Love,

Paul, Amanda, London & Kirby.

Quick update about lack of updates.

Hello Beloved Family,

Sorry, we've been a bit AWOL recently. We are all doing well and the kids are cuter than ever (was there any doubt) but we've just been a little preoccupied is all. Last Tuesday, Paul enjoyed his day off with a friend from work. They went shooting out in heaven-knows-where then came back into town and had lunch. When Paul got home, he was exhausted from his heck-of-a-day so he decided to take a little nap. I didn't mind having the kids all to myself knowing that the next day was MINE, ALL MINE!!!

Wednesday, I got together with my long-time friend, Brenda for the ENTIRE day! I had the WHOLE day off! WooHoo! We had lunch, browsed the Berean Christian bookstore for a bit, saw "27 Dresses" (highly recommend), hit the mall for a short trip before going on to our ONE HOUR MASSAGE! Oooh! That was so nice. And well deserved, if I do say so myself!

Thursday and Friday I spent getting prepared for this. Go over to my other blog to read about the crazy and oh-so-freeing thing I did!

I hope you are all well and I promise to post new pics of the kids very soon!
Love to you all!

Kirby's Birthday Party.

Sorry about the delay! Here are the much awaited (I just know it) pictures of Kirby's 1st birthday. We had a great time. Kirby was in good spirits the whole evening and was, I'm sure, completely unaware that it was all for him. He was just happy to be fed.

The Rubber Ducky Birthday Cake. The duck is sitting in a bath of blue Jello surrounded by marshmallow & icing "soap bubbles". I really don't know what possessed me.
Here's our little Star of the Show. I didn't want him to have a "foofy" birthday hat so I was quite please to find this simple and oh-so-manly birthday cap. Combined with the shirt he's wearing the boy just screams "trucker".
Mmm...nothing like a duckyhead on your tray.
Yeah! Duckyhead is yummy! Kirby signs "more". Gimme more duckyhead!
The Guests. Almost everyone who was invited made it out for the party. I was unable to secure a loan from the bank to pay the $55,000 Kevin Federline requires to make an appearance but, alas, maybe next year.
Kirby enjoying a little pre-duckyhead snack with his cousin Loryn and her boyfriend.
Nothing really going on in this picture. I'm just mighty proud of how clean my floor looks. This doesn't happen very often so I take my moments when I can. We now return you to the regularly scheduled birthday party.
Kirby's loot. Everyone was more than generous and spoiled Kirby more than they should. :) Thank you everyone!
Mommy does the honors as Kirby recoups from ducky head overdose. London and her friends are eager to help in any way they can.
London kept asking me when it was going to be her birthday. 3 1/2 yr olds don't quite get the concept of certain days only coming around once a year. She'll get it eventually. In the meantime, I have the honor of breaking her little heart everyday by telling her, "No, Sweetie, it's still not your birthday".
All in all, it was great fun! Thanks to Grammy Mary, Papa Paul and Daddy for helping make it a great success. I couldn't have put it all together without your help. There's a reason I'll only do this every five years, ya know!

Don't hate me because I'm beautiful.

Fresh sunflowers on our dining table. Me farting around with our camera.
Nice combo, don't you think?
:
:
:
Well, except for the farting.
:
:
:
Is farting still considered tacky?
:
:
:
Well, at least Aunt Kathy is laughing.

Oh, this was supposed to be about the flowers. Sorry.
Go look at them again. Ain't they purdy?
