I'm Sorry...WHERE Did It Go?

Recent conversation with London as she was cleaning her brother's ride-on fire engine:

London: I'm cleaning this 'cause it's dirty. There was a booger right there.

Me: Did you say a "booger"?

London: Yes, right there. (pointing to spot) Kirby put it there.

Me: (laughing) I don't think Kirby knows how to pick his nose yet.

London: (silence)

Daddy: I'm sorry. WHERE is the booger?

London: It's gone.

Daddy: What do you mean "it's gone"?

London: It flew away.

Me: (laughing harder) It flew away?

London: Yeah.

Me: Because you flicked it?

London: Yeah!

Daddy: I'm sorry...what?!?!

Mani's and Pedi's

Today, we decided to get a little girly. London was the recipient of a mani and a pedi. Both of which she enjoyed immensly. She's always game from something on the foo-foo side.

She picked her colors and her little decorations. She then went on to decide my colors and my decorations. No pictures of my feet. Sorry, you're going to just have to go without.

After pics of her pretty toes and fingers, she decided she needed to do some posing, so here you go:

She's quite the little model, wouldn't you say? We then tried to do Kirby toes but Daddy had a little something to say about that.

Love to you all! We'll update again soon!

Per London

Just a couple of things London has said as of late that have really cracked us up:

Mommy, I didn't see myself push Kirby down.
(well, if you didn't see it, Honey, it didn't happen)

If I haven't gone someplace I've never been before, than I need to go.
(Well, let's go then!)

These little colloquialisms come and go rather quickly around here. I'll try to post more as they come up. She says SO MUCH during the day, that it's hard to keep track of them all.

I Just Couldn't Resist

Mommy got sucked into buying school pictures again. Even though she said she wasn't going to get any. London just had her pics taken in the fall - why would she need them again so soon? But the very experienced salesperson photographer reminded me that she should still get her picture taken for the class photo because "it's so important".

That had me thinking back to the guy who almost invented the lightbulb but didn't and how his failures and shortcomings in life could be traced back to the fact that he didn't get his picture in the class photo with all the other kids when he was four years old. I couldn't do that to London so, naturally, I caved.

Here she is:

I don't think you could have resisted either. Be honest.

London's Birthday Bonanza!

Here is the Birthday Girl. Notice the look of pride and self-confidence in our fiesty four-yr-old.
Maybe you'd like a closer look. Notice the ribbon? It may show up in some other shots. Keep an eye out for it.
Someone got a bike! A big girl bike. A Dora big girl bike!
Look at those cute little legs peddle. Go, Sweet Pea, go!
The sun on her face. The wind in her hair. THIS is living!
*sniff* She may as well be in a car headed off to college! *sob*

Birthday party #1 - just the family.
London wanted to eat the clown. She didn't realize he was mostly plastic.
She carefully picked away all the frosting and left the cake behind. Ahh...that's my girl!
That's okay. Kirby likes cake. Kirby likes everything!
London almost missed out on her cake as she first refused to eat dinner. After a bit of conversation with Mom in her room, she saw the light and ate everything on her plate. The party continued after that.

Birthday Party #2 - a few friends joined in the fun.
Make a wish, Sweet Pea. Wish that Mommy won't put herself through the making of another character cake next year, would ya?
I didn't do too bad of a job, if I say so myself. Besides, it's how it tastes that matters. However, this cake tasted like fish. We still don't understand why.
Emily, Amy and Elle joined in the fun on the second night. I refuse to do a big party every year but NEXT year will be an all-out bash! Reserve your seats and book your flights, folks. You don't want to miss it when London turns FIVE!
